Anthony G. Karamuzis

Anthony G. Karamuzis graduated from DePaul University College of Law and practices in our litigation group. He has tried numerous jury trials achieving successful results for clients, as well as resolving hundreds of cases through summary judgment, mediation and arbitration in state and federal courts. Mr. Karamuzis was selected as a Super Lawyer, a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, representing no more than 5% of lawyers in each state. He frequently defends clients in the construction industry, including owners, general contractors, subcontractors, architects and others, in the areas of construction defect, catastrophic injury claims, business litigation, insurance coverage, and transactional matters. Mr. Karamuzis is OSHA certified, having obtained certification for completing the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Course. He also represents restaurants, nightclubs, condominium associations, and non-profit clients such as schools, churches, shelters and nursing homes. In addition, he represents clients in the Appellate Court, including writing Amicus Curiae ("Friend of the Court") briefs to the Illinois Supreme Court, and was appointed by three federal judges to represent indigent individuals in civil and criminal proceedings. He has been admitted pro hac vice in jurisdictions throughout the United States, defending clients in Illinois, New York, Nevada, West Virginia, Florida and Indiana. When not in the courtroom, Mr. Karamuzis spends his free time with his two rescue dogs and sits on the Advisory Board of a local children's charity.
